Pastor John Nathan Holmes Sr., a native of Arkansas, and Lady Cecilia “CeCe” Holmes, a native of Illinois, have faithfully served together in ministry for more than twenty-nine years. Pastor Holmes is the youngest of six children, and Lady CeCe is the fifth of six daughters. Their surviving parent is Lady Faith Williams. They are preceded in death by the late Sam Sr. and Lorine Holmes, and the late Pastor Jobie Williams Jr.
Pastor Holmes attended Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas, and Berkeley University in Berkeley, California. Lady CeCe attended Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, Oklahoma. Under God’s love, guidance, and protection, their union has been blessed with eight children and five grandchildren.
With over thirty-five years of experience in the automotive industry, Pastor Holmes is also known for his distinctive radio voice that inspires both church and community. He is dedicated to his marriage, ministry, and mission and is recognized for teaching on Eschatology, Angelology, End Times, and Forgiveness. Pastor Holmes is a member of the Baptist Ministers Alliance of Oklahoma and was installed as Pastor of the Greater Canon family on June 24, 2018.
Lady CeCe serves as the Family and Outreach Coordinator, Vice President of the Women’s ministry, and supports various ministry needs. After three terms as President, she currently serves as 1st Vice President of the Baptist Ministers Wives and Widows of Ministry Inc. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma’s First Vice President of the International Ministers Wives and Ministers Widows, and Chief Marketing Officer of Sharing the Throne. She is also the owner and operator of United in Christ Travel and Entertainment for over sixteen years and is employed with the University of Oklahoma’s Center for Public Management Division, where she has served on the Hourly Employee Council and Staff Senate.
Together, Pastor and Lady Holmes are committed to community service and outreach. As Placement Specialists, they have opened their home to children to help prevent entry into the Human Services System. They actively collaborate with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Feeding the Children and have served as leaders with the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts of America.
Pastor and Lady Holmes are passionate about witnessing to the lost, strengthening families, and guiding others to experience the promises God has prepared for them through Christ.
